Stadler Trains Magyarország Vasúti Szolgáltató Kft

What was the main reason you joined Swisscham? When did you join?

The Stadler Group settled in Hungary in December 2005. As a Swiss-owned railway manufacturer, it was evident that we had a place here in Swisscham, so the contact was made the following year, at the initiative of the Chamber.

Why did you decide to run for a position on the Board?

My membership in the Board has been continuous for a decade, and I will continue to be happy to take part in the Board, emphasizing that we are a Swiss company and the Hungarian market is important to us. We are the largest vehicle supplier in the history of MÁV, and the largest railway vehicle manufacturer and significant employer in Hungary. We currently employ more than 800 people at Stadler’s companies in Hungary.

What do you expect from the cooperation of our chamber and your company in the future?

We would like to continue the cooperation we have started. The current pandemic situation requires a changed operation, and we hope that we can adapt to this together

What event(s) would you highlight from the history of our joint work?

Swisscham has stood by and represented many of our events for which we are very grateful. Outstanding among these are the signing of the strategic agreement with the Government (December 2012) and the 10th anniversary of our service plant in Hungary in Pusztaszabolcs (April 2017).
