What was the main reason you joined Swisscham? When did you join?
Since ABB is a Swiss-Swedish company of its origin, it is only natural to connect to the Swiss chamber and be part of the Swiss companies’ network. With the Chamber activitites we are able to strengthen our role in Hungary, enhance the business, stay connectd to Switzerland and most importantly get up to date infromation of the business environment in Hungary. The Chamber also operates in close contact with other chambers and the government so influencing the decision that have an effect on business environment can be done via Chamber activitites. and last but not least, it is a great networking opportunity for our company.
Why did you decide to run for a position on the Board?
Having been in the board already for 4 years, since my arrival to Hungary, I saw the potential in the board work. In the board you can shape the chamber role and its activitites. Essential part of the board work is to be part of the decision making and setting the prioritities, and that is important to me.
What do you expect from the cooperation of our chamber and your company in the future?
As we all know the future today is quite uncertain due to COVID19 and there are more questions than answers. To me the most important thing at the moment now is to ensure people safety, both in the company and in the Chamber. This is why the Chamber needs to re-position itself on digital platforms even stronger than before, make sure the member companies find the activitites of the Chamber still beneficial and attractive in the new normal. Helping the Chamber to succeed in this, that is the best cooperation I see between ABB and the Chamber.
What event(s) would you highlight from the history of our joint work?
For me there has been many great events and activitites, but I believe the Swiss Business Day 2017 is the most memorable one. We had round table discussions, speeches, presentations, job fair, booths, product displays etc. It was very energizing day with other Swiss companies and with the visitors.Zurück
