Swisscham Hungary, the Embassy of Switzerland in Hungary and Philip Morris Hungary were delighted to welcome business partners, member companies and invited guests to the Blue Ribbon Business Summit 2026 in Balatonfüred, held alongside the 58th Blue Ribbon Raiffeisen Grand Prix, Europe’s oldest and largest lake sailing race.

The day began with a networking breakfast, followed by a unique opportunity to watch the spectacular start of the Blue Ribbon race from the water. The business programme continued with the forum “Connected in Many Ways – Future Values in Economic Development”, focusing on the role of responsible corporate leadership, sustainability and innovation in strengthening long-term competitiveness.

The discussion explored how responsible corporate governance, innovation and sustainability contribute to long-term competitiveness, and how companies can create both economic and social value through their business activities.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of the “Sustainable and Competitive Society Award”, established jointly by the three organisers. This year’s award was presented to the Hintalovon Foundation in recognition of its outstanding work in promoting children’s rights and well-being.

The Foundation’s mission perfectly reflects the spirit of the award: a sustainable and competitive society is built not only on economic success but also on our commitment to future generations. Protecting children’s rights, promoting equal opportunities and creating a safe and supportive environment are investments that strengthen society as a whole in the long term.
