The Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Workshop was held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Sweden in Budapest. The event was co-organised by the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK Ungarn – DUIHK – Német-Magyar Ipari és Kereskedelmi Kamara) and its Knowledge Centre Német-Magyar Tudásközpont – DUWZ, in collaboration with the Netherlands-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce / Dutcham, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA HUNGARY, Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hungary and Swisscham Hungary Swiss-Hungarian Chamber of Commerce , showcasing an exceptional multi-chamber initiative.

The event opened with welcome remarks by Madame Ambassador Diana Madunic who highlighted the importance of cooperation between European companies in order to improve Europe’s competitiveness and Julia Lipovecz Director of Swisscham Hungary, who called the attention to the fact that energy efficiency is no longer a matter of choice, but a strategic imperative.

As highlighted in the event invitation, even a 10% reduction in energy consumption can result in tens of millions of euros saved—an impact that is both economically and environmentally vital.

The forum provided a platform to explore innovative solutions, best practices, and real-life applications that are already driving sustainable transformation across various industries through series of insightful presentations, an engaging Q&A sessions. Collaborations could be strengthened during the informal networking sessions over refreshments.
High-level company representatives from Atlas Copco, Qvantum International, ABB, Carbon.Crane, EQUANS, and wienerberger shared their expertise on topics ranging from compressed air heat recovery and digital carbon footprint tracking to hydrogen and circular energy systems.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the presenters for sharing their expertise, innovative approaches, and practical insights.
