Report
We closed our 30th anniversary year with a festive Christmas event held at the historic Merlin Theatre, bringing together members and partners for an evening of networking and celebration. The event was honoured by the presence of the Ambassador of Switzerland Alexander Renggli and his spouse, as well as Csaba Piszter from the Hungarian Embassy in Bern, underlining the strong bilateral relations.
The evening opened with welcome speeches delivered by István Béres, President of Swisscham Hungary, and Julia Lipovecz, Director of the Chamber.
The programme included a small art exhibition with Swiss–Hungarian connections, featuring works by Hungarian artist Kata Koleszar, whose long-standing collaboration with the Geneva-based Anouk Foundation links her art to Switzerland.
Guests also had the opportunity to taste a Swiss chocolate–inspired sparkling wine offered by Tokaj Art Wine, adding a special flavour to the evening.
A special moment of the event was the farewell to Andrea Kuntner, who stepped down after several decades of dedicated service as a Board Member, marking the end of an important chapter in the Chamber’s history.
The InterContinental Budapest provided the catering, contributing to the high-quality atmosphere of the event. A traditional charity raffle also took place, with all proceeds supporting the Heti Betevő Association.
The evening was supported by Alpiq as the main event sponsor, together with partners Extrametal Hungary, InterContinental Budapest, and Lindt.
The gathering offered a fitting conclusion to Swisscham’s milestone anniversary year, reflecting three decades of community building, partnership, and shared values.
Thank you for the participation!
