Meeting Budapest Kft.
What was the main reason you joined Swisscham? When did you join?
We are practically core members, both my company and I have been associated with Swisscham since the formation of the chamber (1995). Previously, as Syma + SD Kft, the Hungarian subsidiary of the Swiss-based Syma Holding AG. Since 2016 we have been cooperating with the Chamber as Budapest Rendezvényszervező és kiállításkivitelező Kft. Upon entry, my intention was for Swiss companies to get to know each other as well as possible and to help each other draw more opportunities from the relationships. I feel that in our case, life has proved how necessary the chamber was and contuinues to be, as we have helped each other quite a few times over the 25 years and got to know each other’s problems and joys. I will never forget the huge help of the chamber when the state wanted to acquire the Event Center owned by our company in 2016, but the chamber and the Swiss state stood by us and so the Hungarian state could only obtain it by agreement.
Why did you decide to run for a position on the Board?
Since the establishment of Swisscham, I have been actively involved in the work of the board. I tried to help the work of the board with my activities and contacts. From 2015-2020, I served as Vice President of Swisscham, but I believe that from this year onwards, as a member of the board, I can continue to assist the work of the Chamber.
What do you expect from the cooperation of our chamber and your company in the future?
As before, we will continue to work with the chamber and help each other’s work. It should be noted, however, that covid 19 affects us sensitively, so there may be temporary difficulties. In addition to economic relations, we have managed to make many friendships in the past and I think it will remain like that in the future. It’s good to have a community where we can meet new and old companies and expand our economic knowledge, we can help each other in some form.
What event(s) would you highlight from the history of our joint work?
Together, we invented and implemented the first Swiss Business Day, which has been running ever since and we can say they were all successful. A number of economic presentations were also of a high standard, which we were happy to attend. I hope that we can further expand our mutual relations and work.Back
